Back to reality
after a mega relaxing fortnight in Orhaniye. The place is unbelievably beautiful and tranquil. After the pressure of setting up and running a major redundancy exercise it was just what I needed. I spent the majority of the time lying on the beach with my head in a book, occasionally watching what was happening in the marina down the coast or looking down the bay to see people seemingly walking on water...well, they're actually on a sandspit which divides the bay into two. You can walk 600 meters into the sea along the Kızkumu dune. Legend has it that a girl, who wanted to meet with her lover on the other shore, walked through the sea with her skirt filled with sand to try to build a pathway to reach him.
